Several years ago, missionary Don Foster moved to the Democratic Republic of Congo to reach the Mbuti Pygmies, a disadvantaged people group in need of the gospel. After encountering a number of challenges, Don found his solution in the Messenger, a strategic tool for connecting with the Pygmies in their language. Don recently traveled from his home in far eastern Congo to the western part of the country, where he joined a team from In Touch to distribute one of the most recent developments from our Messenger Lab—the Torch. This solar-powered flashlight comes loaded with Scripture and messages from Dr. Stanley, in addition to a speaker perfect for group listening. It also has the ability to serve as a lantern and lamp, providing light where electricity is scarce, and can be used to charge mobile phones.
